             they cross the river                        van cruzando el río
                  Big Ben damp rings                            las campanadas


      along the bridges                             por los puentes
             they tiredly slip                         cansadas resbalan
                 in pale mirrors                        en pálidos espejos
                 

       they thickly water                               ellas empapan
               sponged souls                               las almas esponjadas
                  as Thames rules by                      mientras el Támesis corre
                        bellow the arches                     en sus mareas

              summer's late                                 regaló el verano, al otoño
                  gift of days                                  de los verdes "campos"
              for the green parks                                                de Londres
                   of London                                                 unos días                    


             geese and swans                                cisnes y gansos
               duck and seagull                                pato y gaviota
                boys and doves                                  chicos y tórtolas
                 there they come                                 ahí llegan
                  it's final sparks                                    los últimos destellos
                   on eyes, on water                                en los ojos, el agua
                    on polished insignia                           las insignias pulidas
                     of luxurious  ''carts''                          de los "carros" lujosos
                      in windows of tears                          en lágrimas y ventanas
                       of the want, want not                       de los que quieren, los que no
                        or can not reach;                              o no pueden alcanzar;
                   the last sigh, of light                                  suspiro último de luz
                    for the nice lively                               de los vivos
                    hiden mews and alleys                                        escondidos callejones
                                                                               de la ciudad

              sunny gaps through                           claras se cuelan
              warmy weather,                                 por la mañana templada,
              it smells fall                                       huele a otoño
              of morning's last shower                   a hierba y hojas mojadas
              wetted green and leaves                    por el último chaparrón
              by the ponds and canals                    junto a los lagos y canales
                                                                      de Londres

             to the sleeping boats                      hacia el sueño de las barcazas
             last glitters of summer,                    por los cálidos rebrillos
              it smells fall                                  que coló el sol
             clouds amongst                               entre las nubes

             and the buzz of aircrafts                           zumbar de aviones,
             a dove, a crow, a seagull,                         paloma, graja ó gaviota
             they eye and ear                                      ojean y oyen
             the flood of whisper and noise                  la flota* de murmullo y ruído   *(inundación, marea)
